Reports from Radio Australia said “Shakura impressed the Melbourne Recital Centre's audience with their 'jangling', lively and occasionally amorous songs” Acoustically it was a world away from how they are used to hearing the band, with the auditorium's high ceilings and open design reflecting the group's sound brightly. AWMW is a unique event which has been described as the 'South by South West' of World and Indigenous music. By day AWME is a trade fair which attracts some of the world's most prominent and influencial festival bookers, talent agents, record labels and media workshops, panel discussions snf industry networking. |
